Suspect:  Sarah Louise Trigger (Age 41)

Synopsis:
On 5-27-09 at approximately 10:47p.m., HBPD Officers responded to the City of Redondo Beach to contact the separated husband of Hermosa Beach resident Sarah Trigger. Trigger's husband and father of their 2 year old son reported to Officers that his son's neck had an injury. HBPD Officers contacted County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services and responded to Trigger's residence in Hermosa Beach.
 
Upon arrival, HBPD Detectives spoke to Trigger who gave conflicting stories about the child's injury. Trigger alleged that the injury was an "accident" and did not give clear details regarding the incident. Trigger was placed under arrest for suspicion of child abuse, and booked into the HBPD jail. Trigger was released on $100,000.00 bail.
 
Trigger was previously married to TV actor Jon Cryer. Trigger has custody of their 9 year old son who was not at home during the incident and not involved. The incident is being further investigated.
