Suspect:     Alexander Eric Maldonado (DOB 4-14-86)

 

Suspect Vehicle:  2001 Ford F-250 truck (White) Lic. REGENCE

 

Victim:      Female Adult, Identity Withheld

                  Hermosa Beach Resident

 

Synopsis:

On 5-18-09 at approximately 5:40p.m., HBPD Officers responded to the 400 blk of Herondo Street regarding a domestic disturbance. During a prior response to the location, the Victim reported to Police that her ex-boyfriend (Maldonado) had been served with a restraining order, is possibly armed with a gun, and addicted to drugs. Upon arrival, Sergeant Landon Phillips located Suspect Maldonado walking towards his parked vehicle. Sergeant Phillips confirmed Maldonado's identity and ordered him to lie on the ground at gun point.

 

Suspect Maldonado told Sergeant Phillips, "I kinda want to get shot" and "Will you shoot me in the head?" Maldonado began to stand up and Sergeant Phillips did not observe any weapons on Maldonado's person; Sergeant Phillips holstered his duty weapon and fired his Taser. Due to the effect of the Taser, Maldonado complied with orders and was taken into custody. HBPD Officers searched Maldonado's vehicle and located a loaded shotgun and drug paraphernalia.

 

Maldonado was arrested for 649.9 PC - stalking, 166(a)(4) PC - violation of a court order. 594(b)(1) PC Vandalism. 12031(a)(1)PC- Possession of a loaded firearm while being the restrained party in a valid restraining order. 11364 H&S-glass smoking pipe with narcotics residue.
