VEHICLE BURGLARIES THAT OCCURED LAST NIGHT

Four HB residents vehicle's were burglarized over night.  Two vehicles had their window smashed and the GPS unit taken.  Two vehicles were unlocked.  A personal check book and $45 cash was removed from one unlocked vehicle and a purse, camera and sunglasses were taken from the second unlocked car.  These burglaries happened in the 300 - 400 block of 29th Street.

As we mentioned in this week's e-news, make the OPPORTUNITY more difficult for the "bad guy".  Simple steps like closing the garage door, removing items of value from view in vehicles (GPS units on the windshield, XM Radio/Sirius Radio units on dash, portable music players, gym bags, wallets, briefcases, cell phones and laptops) and simply locking doors, can have a large impact on crime.

They are looking for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING of value.  As always, share this information with all of your neighbors and remind them to remove everything from their vehicles before locking them and setting the alarm, if they have to park on the street and not in their garage.

Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch and Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Watch share crime information to better inform our residents on 'crimes of opportunity' as we are neighboring cities.  Two weeks ago, MB had a week of vehicle thefts and burglaries.  Let's tighten down our city as it very well could be related.  Read the crime logs and do your part to keep your valuables safe.  BE PROACTIVE NOT REACTIVE!
