**Update from Crime Prevention Officer Martin**

On May 4, 2012 at 2:09 a.m. MBPD Detectives were investigating a bicycle theft. The suspect vehicle was stopped at Manhattan Beach and Inglewood Ave., where a bicycle valued at approximately $2500 was located in the bed of the pick-up truck. Both driver and passenger were arrested for grand theft and stolen property.

Less than thirty minutes later, Officer Brown made a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Artesia Blvd. Officer Brown's investigation revealed a stolen bike, a cut lock and bolt cutters. The driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.

On May 11, 2012 at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officer San Agustin contacted a subject who was riding a bike in the area of Prospect and Tennyson. The subject who was in possession of bolt cutters and a cut lock, was subsequently arrested for suspicion of possessing stolen property.
