The holiday shopping season is in full swing and thieves are looking for an easy target in parking lots of malls, banks, and shopping centers.

Thieves are on the lookout for shoppers who visit a mall, drop items off in their cars, and go back into the mall. We also have reports of shoppers leaving the mall with large purchases and driving to another location nearby to continue their shopping, only to come out and find their vehicles were also broken into.

As always, be aware of your surroundings and the possibility of being followed and don't leave anything in your vehicle that you would like to see again.
